Counsellor for Children & Young People
-
My name is Polly Ravenscroft and I live in East Hampshire. I qualified as a
Humanistic Counsellor in 2006 from Guildford College, Surrey.
(In a nutshell a Humanistic Counsellor means that when I work with an
individual I believe they have their answers; counselling is about helping this
person to find these answers).
-
Initially I worked with adults who have general life difficulties. For the past two
years I have worked with a charity who specialise in bereavement counselling
for children and young people.
-
To continue specialising working with young people in 2009 I completed
a Post Qualifying Diploma in Counselling Children and Adolescents at the Iron
Mill Institute in Exeter.
-
I am in private practice and see children in their own homes, in schools or at
local children's centres.
-
I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists
(BACP). This means I work ethically and adhere to their regulations on good
practice. I hold an enhanced CRB Certificate.
